  • This last Tuesday at Wilson Vineyards was our monthly NACE meeting. It was simply spectacular. Amongst the Special Providers:
All Season All Reasons Fine Catering
    A&A Music Events
    Blooms by Martha Andrews
    Classic Party Rentals
    Diamond Video Productions
    Wilson Vineyards
and we, Kelly and I, photographed the event.

The menu was awesome! My favorite of the night, as I told Monty today, was the soup: White Bean and Cabbage soup with Spanish Chorizo and Manchego Crouton. The blown glass plates, each unique, went with the many unique vases that Martha used for floral arrangements. The bright colors popped off the tables!

It was a fun filled relaxing evening with a lot of vendor mingling. The dress attire was California style - peasant wear of blue jeans and white tops. The invitation came true "...basque in delight amongst the vines for a relaxing, yet elaborate evening under the stars..."

  • We were privileged to photograph the fashion cover model shoot for the newest issue of Sierrastyle Weddings magazine hot off the press this week.

The first cover is of all three cover model finalists: Michelle, Megan, and Mitzi. All three girls were great and super fun to work with. We had such great teams of vendors for all the girls.Sierra Style Magazine Photos 1The second cover (coming out in 3 months) is of the cover model winner....Mitzi! Sierra Style Magazine Photos 2Click here to see the entire article and numerous photos of each girl. Thanks to the MJ team, Teresa and Tina - it was a long 12 hour day!

We would like to thank each and every vendor that we used during the shoot - see below. Special thanks to Georgia at Newcastle Wedding Gardens for hosting the location and sharing her ideas! And most of all to Wendy and her editorial staff at Sierrastyle Weddings for planning the entire shoot, providing great ideas, and allowing us to do it our way! We had loads of fun and enjoyed hearing the girls laugh all day - rain included!

  • Today Cory was cleaning the backyard, hosing down the patio, and cleaning the pool. As I stood out there and talked to him...he was walking on our pool back ledge skimming out the leafs with the long pole. All of a sudden...and in super slow motion...I watched him take one step half on the ledge - half off, and then one more step even shakier than the last. And he was shouting (while balancing the pool pole skimmer as if walking a tightrope) ohhhhhh.....ooohhhhhhhh......ooooooohhhhhhhh.....crap!

You should have seen how quick he got out of the pool - it was still pretty cold! I'm still laughing my ass off!

  • It's been almost a week in the making...I had a computer crash this week...on Wednesday and it's back up and running finally. No worries, though, I don't keep any of my images on my local machine. I have a stringent back up process and boy am I glad I follow it! With the exception of some recently purchased music and a few word documents, I had a backup that made the rebuilding process much smoother than what otherwise would have happened.

So without further ado, here is Jolene and Dave's engagement session from this last monday night! Please click the image below to start the slideshow. P.S. It was a full moon!Sacramento Engagement Photographer
