  • We love taking in action shots of each other at events and I seldom post them. But as I'm finished up the recent Bat Mitzvah we did for Rachel, I found this goofball one I took of me and Kelly in a mirror. Can my "say cheese" smile be any bigger?!

  • The Memory Journalists recently took photos of Shana, of Makeup and Skin by Shana, and I wanted to share a few of my favorites. It was just a quickie photo session, just enough where Shana, Izzy and I had a few laughs and enjoyed each others company.

  • I LOVE Shana's laugh. It's so infectious and contagious.

  • And she had the most beautiful eyes....and you all know I'm an eye girl. Simply gorgeous!

  • Here is a photo of me with Catrina and Heather (team-mates from the 2012 meeting "An Awards Affair with Vintage Flair"). And again Isabel and I together for a photo.

  • As it turned out the Awards Affair with Vintage Flair meeting was the winning meeting from 2012! Here we are, with Heather's idea, of kissing our awards...she didn't quite make it without busting up!

The other vendors that made up our great winning team are:
Classique Catering and the Memorial Auditorium
    MJ DJ Services
    JCD Atmospheric Studios
    Visual Impact Design
    Catrina Arcularius, Venue Vixens
    The Memory Journalists
    Bella Vita Invitations
    Mimi and Co.

  • And the award itself. Nicely done team!

  • Last month, The Memory Journalists had the pleasure of photographing the annual awards dinner again for Sacrament NACE (National Association of Catering and Events). Here is a listing of all the contributing vendors (unless I forgot someone, and if so, please forgive me!)

  • It was held at the Capitol View room at the Hyatt Recency in downtown Sacramento. With it being themed as Old Hollywood, they even had a red carpet for guests to get their pictures on.

  • The Hyatt recently installed a new chandelier as you walk in the main room. It's gorgeous!

  • The tables were dressed to the nines.

  • And our take home favor for the evening was some champagne and a home-made treat from Sweet Cakes by Rebecca.

  • Wilson Vineyards provided wine for the evening.

  • Accents by Sage did all the floral arrangements and they were amazing.

  • The table decor had old photos of fabulous Hollywood women.

  • Isabel and I both had the idea of shooting through the chairs...funny I saw this when I went through all the images.

  • The food was delicious! And dessert, cheesecake, was even better!

  • Here are random photos from the evening's guests.

  • The evening's awards consisted of Caterer of the year, Member of the year, the Board award, and the President's award, and the Meeting of the year. Pictured below, Sandra Wilson graciously accepted her award.

  • Bryan was a perfect Master of Ceremonies as he announced the winners.

  • Jackson Catering and Events won Caterer of the year....again!

  • As the night was ending, Isabel capture this wonderful silhouette of the Sacramento skyline.

  • Kylie just turned 3 months old and I was was able to capture this moment by taking some family photographs. She's so cute and her little smile is super contagious.

  • She had just woken up from a nap so she was a happy camper.

  • Daddy hates the bows...Mommy loves the bows. Guess who won?!

  • Kylie is at the age now where she is starting to really smile and giggle.

  • I just love this photo!

  • Look at her big blue eyes. I hope they never change!

  • Another aspect I really love is when they discover their tongue.

  • Kylie loves flying.

  • We did a quickie change of clothes and captured this photo with mommy.

  • Kylie was enthralled watching her parents kiss.

  • After our quick time outdoors, we went inside for a few more photos.

  • With her pink pacifier, the pink blanket was perfect.

  • Kylie is starting to watch herself in the mirror these days so we used a mirror as a prop.

  • One last one of Kylie and mom. Can't wait for Kylie's upcoming baptism.
