  • Teresa recently did some fabulous pet photography and photographed little Ryder D. He's Patti Kostakis's pride and joy - a 5 month old Golden Retriever. Indoors just wasn't sufficient - even though he does like to put his giant paws in his water dish and make a big mess - it was time to head outdoors. Ryder D was a super fun pet to photograph and was a bit on the wild side! He was tuckered out when we were done.pet photospet photos 2pet photos 3

  • Kate and Eric tied the knot yesterday and we were there to capture it all in photos! The wedding ceremony was held at the Greenhaven Lutheran Church in Sacramento. I attended the rehearsal on Friday night, and Pastor Bill gave an emotional Kate a bit of advice to focus on to help her when walking down the aisle. He said, "First you focus on the Aisle, then the Alter, then on Him (meaning Eric). He said to repeat "Aisle Alter Him" over and over. He had us all laughing. It'll be a mantra I'll make sure to remember!
Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding PhotosWhen we arrived yesterday, Kate had already set out all the decorations - color coordinated in hot pinks, turquoise, and browns. I couldn't resist capturing a ring shot using their bright sparklers.Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos2Courtney from Kiss and Make-up, winner of KCRA's recent 2007 A-list competition, worked her make-up magic on Kate, while we photographed her dress (from Bella Donna Bridal) and accessories. Kate had thought of every detail, down to the "bride" flip flops. The result - Kate looked flawless!Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos3Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos4Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos5Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos6We headed outside to catch a few shots of the guys. It was fun to watch all the guys help each other pin on their boutonnières! Gavin, one of two best men, brought out a gift from Kate to Eric - a beautiful new watch and a handwritten card. "Roses are red. Violets are blue. It's time to marry you!"Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos7Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos8Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos9The ceremony was beautiful and both Kate and Eric were all smiles as they were pronounced man and wife.Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos10Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos11Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos12Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos13We stopped for a few minutes by the lake in Greenhaven to get some outdoor images. I love this one on the pier.Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos14Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos15The reception was at the Library Galleria in downtown Sacramento. The wedding party waited outside for the arrival of the bride and groom. It was a packed house with almost 300 guests. Kate had personalized M&M's created and their cake looked perfect. I love the little ribbon details Kate added to their initials.Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos16Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos17Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos18Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding Photos19We ended the night with toasts, a fun-filled garter ceremony and bouquet toss, and a surprise video presentation created by Kate's sister, Stephanie, which brought on a few tears. I'll leave you with this last image of Kate and Eric as they danced together for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Eric Pohl. • I'll keep this short and sweet. Question #3 is fun and I hope we'll get a variety of answers.

What fashion from another period would you love to wear?

  • Here is our 2nd guest for my new project "It's all in the eyes". This is our beautiful bride Alyssa. Her and Jacob were married June 23, 2007. She has the most expressive eyes to match her flair for writing and her love of reading. My guess is that Jacob melts whenever she gives him her stare. :-) She is not only beautiful on the outside but she's gorgeous on the inside.

  • I'm a bit delayed in posting about our celebration dinner we held for Teresa and her winning the SacBride cover. Family and friends met at Zinfandel Grille in Rocklin a few weeks back. We laughed it up, ate and drank ourselves silly, and ended the night with a few desserts. It was a great reminder that I need to get out more often!

So this last week, some of us girls met up at Swopmeets (a wedding vendor mixer) early to have a drink together, we did the mingle thing, and promptly ended the night at Rick's Dessert Diner. Can you imagine 6 girls each with their own huge piece of dessert sitting in the window booth! We ate so many things I can't even remember them all - but here's some of what I remember - "the best yellow cake", chocolate cream pie, mocha something or other, fudge fantasy cake, and banana cream pie. I think we all agreed the best yellow cake is truly the best ever yellow cake!
